It seems to me that finding interesting sounds is something of an intellectual venture whereas writing good lyrics and melodies takes a lot more emotional involvement and real life experience. Because of this discrepancy I've set aside a little space for myself to experiment and have fun with sound so that I don't go crazy working on my next 'real' release! To exercise!
